In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well mixed.
In a separate bowl, combine the buttermilk, beaten eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until everything is blended together.
Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and gently stir with a spoon until just combined. Fold in the fresh blueberries.
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat for at least 5 minutes. Lightly grease the pan with about ¼ tablespoon of butter.
Pour ½ cup of batter into the skillet. Cook the first side for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip the pancake and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Re-grease the pan with butter and continue making pancakes with the remaining batter. Keep cooked pancakes warm in a 200-degree oven.
Serve pancakes warm with butter, maple syrup, or additional blueberries on top.
Notes
For the best flavor, use fresh blueberries; if using frozen, do not thaw them.
Keep pancakes warm in a low oven while cooking the rest.
