Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 4 cups Confectioner's Sugar
  • ⅓ cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Almond Extract Optional.
  • ⅛ teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add the room temperature butter. Beat with a hand mixer or stand mixer until creamy, about one minute.
  • Gradually add confectioner's sugar to the bowl. Mix slowly until the ingredients are fully combined, then increase speed and whip for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and optional almond extract. Include the salt, then whip the mixture for another 2-3 minutes until creamy and airy.
  • If needed, add more heavy cream for your desired consistency. Ensure your frosting stays smooth and spreadable.
  • Use a piping bag or knife to spread the frosting on your cupcakes or cakes. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure butter is soft but not melted for best mixing.
  • Sift sugar to remove lumps.
  • Start mixer at low speed to avoid clouds, then increase for fluffiness.
  • If frosting is too thick, add cream gradually to adjust consistency.
  • Experiment with flavors using different extracts.
