Ingredients
  

  • 1 large egg
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup minced onion
  • 1½ lbs. ground beef (80/20)
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350ºF.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • In a separate small bowl, stir together the breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mince the onion finely.
  • In a large bowl, add the ground beef, egg mixture, breadcrumbs, and minced onion. Mix until evenly combined.
  • Shape the meat mixture into a loaf in a rimmed baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the glaze ingredients: ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.
  • Spread the glaze over the meatloaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF.
  • Allow the meatloaf to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Avoid overmixing the meatloaf mixture to keep it tender.
  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
