Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • ⅓ cup Jarred Pepperoncini Peppers, sliced
  • ½ cup Pepperoncini Pepper Juice
  • ½ cup Low-Sodium Chicken Broth
  • ½ cup Diced Onions
  • 1 tablespoon Au Jus Gravy Mix
  • 1 tablespoon Ranch Seasoning Mix
  • 4 tablespoons Butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your crockpot, creating an even layer for consistent cooking.
  • Sprinkle the au jus mix and ranch seasoning mix evenly over the chicken to ensure full, rich flavors.
  • Layer the diced onions on top of the chicken, followed by the pepperoncini peppers. Next, pour in the pepperoncini juice and chicken broth around the edges.
  • Distribute the pieces of butter over the top of the chicken and other ingredients.
  • Cover the crockpot with its lid. Set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Once done, shred and serve as you like.

Notes

  • Maximize Flavor – Use high-quality chicken broth to intensify the dish’s flavor profile.
  • Adjust the Spice – For a spicier touch, add some of the seeds from the pepperoncini peppers.
  • Check for Doneness – Always verify the internal temperature to ensure safe, juicy chicken.
  • Right Shredding – Use two forks to shred the chicken easily for the perfect texture.
  • Storage Solution – Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness and flavor.
