Ingredients
  

  • 6 slices Bread
  • ¼ cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Heavy Cream
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons Sugar
  • ¾ teaspoons Vanilla
  • ¾ teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Tablespoon Butter or Cooking Spray

Instructions
 

  • In a shallow dish, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  • Set the custard mixture aside.
  • Place a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and spray with cooking spray or melt about ½ tablespoon of butter.
  • Whisk the custard mixture again and soak one slice of bread in the mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated.
  • Immediately transfer the soaked bread to the preheated skillet.
  • Cook the bread slice for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining slices.
  • Serve the French toast warm, with butter and maple syrup.

Notes

  • Use stale bread for better absorption.
  • Ensure medium-high heat for a crispy outside.
